Coming off Roan Mountain onto this property is an abundance of water. From the moment you step onto the 65 acres, you find yourself crossing a large rushing creek which is sourced (like all the water on this property) from Roan Mountain.  That means it is clean and untainted by development or farming. There are numerous large creeks and springs on this property, so much so that years ago the seller built up a substantial business raising Rainbow and Brown Trout in several fish “raceways” fed with fresh ice cold mountain water.  Production at one time totaled over 10,000 trout per year.  These raceways still exist, and though they need some attention to make them viable, they are substantial and could be brought back to life for that purpose, or utilized for other agriculture purposes.  In addition to the creeks and springs, there are five very small ponds on the property down below and approximately one acre of hillside that was at one time terraced and used for planting.  Again, this could quickly be brought back to life.  There are still numerous heirloom fruit trees on the property.
